Candy AI Review (2026): Is It Worth $13.99 a Month?

How we compared

We read Candy AI’s subscriptions page, homepage FAQ, terms of service, privacy notice and underage policy on 27 October 2026. Its help-center articles returned an error to our reader that day, so the free-tier, token and Premium Plus figures are from our check on 23 October 2026. The fact sheet above and the check log at the end of this report list each page and the date we read it.

We judged Candy AI on the nine dimensions of our companions desk: customization, memory, photos and voice and calls, content rules, credits and tokens, privacy and training, age verification, cancellation and refunds, and user reports. For a “worth it” question, the real cost of a month weighs most, so we worked out what the plan and its tokens buy. Every sum below shows its arithmetic.

Where Candy AI does not publish a figure, we write “Not stated” and do not guess. Where we use a third-party figure, such as the token cost of an image, we mark it as third-party. What does Candy AI cost?

Candy AI sells one Premium subscription on three billing terms. The subscriptions page lists the same benefits for each: your own AI girlfriends, 18+ images, 18+ videos, a “full live action experience”, unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month.

The first-year sums are ours. Monthly: $9.99 + (11 × $13.99) = $163.88. Quarterly: 4 × $26.97 = $107.88. The yearly plan saves $116.00 against monthly billing. All plans renew automatically for the same price and term, and the charge shows as EverAI on your bank statement. The subscriptions page lists Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard, and the homepage adds crypto.

What do 100 tokens buy?

This is the weak point. Chat is unlimited, but images, video, voice messages, calls and new custom companions all draw on the same 100 tokens. Candy AI does not publish the token cost of any single action. Its homepage says only that more detailed companions use more tokens.

At the third-party rate of about 4 tokens an image, 100 tokens ÷ 4 = about 25 images a month. The token store shows pack prices only after you sign in, and remaining tokens expire when your subscription ends.

What does a realistic month cost?

Here are three months on the 12-month plan, at $3.99 a month. The media figures use third-party rates, so treat them as estimates.

Chat only. You pay $3.99 a month for unlimited chat. The tokens go unused.

Chat and some photos. About 25 images use the 100 tokens. The month still costs $3.99.

Chat and heavy photos. 50 images need 50 × 4 = 200 tokens, which is 100 more than the plan includes. At about $0.10 a token, that is about $10. Total: $3.99 + $10 = about $13.99 a month, the same as the monthly plan’s regular price.

Video and calls are where the cost cannot be planned, because Candy AI does not publish their token cost.

What do you get for the money?

A low price for unlimited chat. At $3.99 a month on yearly billing, Candy AI is one of the cheapest ways to chat without limits on our companions desk. Only DreamGF’s first year costs less, at $44.28, and it renews at $88.56.

A detailed character builder. You set ethnicity, age range, eyes, hair, body, personality, voice and hobbies in one flow. It is the most detailed appearance builder in our companion comparison.

Images, voice and short video. Companions send images and voice messages. Voice calls are in beta, and short videos are made from generated images.

Written content rules. The blocked content policy bans CSAM, minor-like content, deepfakes, celebrity impersonation and illegal content.

A written refund rule. The window is narrow, but it is fixed: 24 hours, card payments, 20 tokens or fewer used.

What do you give up?

Media you can budget for. One pool of 100 tokens covers all media, and no action has a published cost.

Privacy. The privacy notice, revised on 19 October 2026, lists training AI models as a purpose and refers to de-identified interactions in dataset work. Account data is kept for up to 3 years after your last activity.

Firm age checks. The underage policy relies on a self-declaration of 18+. It says Candy AI may add more checks where local law requires them.

Long memory. Candy AI says companions remember your preferences, and Premium Plus adds 20 memory slots. Its help article says memory ties to the active chat. Kindroid and Nomi document far more.

A phone app. Candy AI is web only. The homepage says no installation is needed and you can add the site to your home screen.

A public review record. Trustpilot removed Candy AI’s profile for breaking its guidelines, according to Trustpilot.

How does Candy AI do on each dimension?

Here is the short verdict on each of our nine companion dimensions, with the facts behind it.

• Customization: strong. Ethnicity, age range, eyes, hair, body, personality, voice and hobbies, all in one builder.
• Memory: weak. Memory ties to the active chat, and only Premium Plus lists memory slots, 20 of them.
• Photos, voice and calls: fair. Images, voice messages, beta voice calls and short videos, all paid from the same small token pool.
• Content rules: good. A written blocked content policy that names minor-like content, deepfakes and celebrity impersonation.
• Credits and tokens: weak. 100 tokens a month, or 330 on Premium Plus, with no published cost per action.
• Privacy and training: weak. Chats may be used to train models, and account data stays for up to 3 years after you leave.
• Age verification: weak. A self-declaration at entry.
• Cancellation and refunds: fair. A fixed rule, but only 24 hours long, for card payments, with 20 tokens or fewer used.
• User reports: unknown. With the Trustpilot profile removed, there is no independent record to weigh.

The pattern is clear: Candy AI is strong on price and the builder, and weak on media budgeting, privacy and age checks. That is why it ranks sixth of seven on our desk, even with one of the lowest prices.

What payment methods does Candy AI accept?

The subscriptions page lists Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard. The homepage also lists crypto, including BTC, ETH, USDC and Litecoin. The terms mention Pay by Bank in some countries. Charges show as EverAI on your bank statement, which the homepage describes as a neutral merchant name. Only card payments can be refunded, so pay by card if you may want your money back.

What are the refund and cancellation rules?

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time in Settings. Access continues to the end of the paid period. The terms, revised on 22 September 2026, set these refund rules:

• Subscriptions. Ask within 24 hours of payment. Requests are denied if you used more than 20 tokens. Only card payments are refundable.
• Token packs. The same 24 hours, but any token use denies the refund.
• EU and UK. A 14-day right of withdrawal on the first purchase, reduced for what you used. Renewals are not covered.
• Tokens at the end. Remaining tokens expire when the subscription ends and do not move to a new one.

Crypto payments fall outside the refund rule. Use the free account before you pay for a year.

Is Candy AI worth it compared with OurDream?

It depends on media. OurDream costs $119.88 a year, $72.00 more, but its homepage lists 1,000 dreamcoins a month and its help center publishes the price of every action, for example 50 coins a minute for voice calls. If you mostly chat, Candy AI is the better value. If you want photos, calls and video, OurDream gives more. Our Candy AI vs OurDream report compares them on every dimension.

What if you mainly want video?

Candy AI’s video is a perk of a companion plan, and it does not publish clip length, resolution or token cost per video. If video is the main thing you want, our Video desk’s top pick is Nureta. Who is Candy AI worth it for?

Worth it if you mainly want to chat with a character you design and will pay yearly. At $47.88 a year, unlimited chat costs less than on almost any other app we compared.

Not worth it if you want many photos, calls or videos, a companion that remembers you across chats, a phone app, or chats kept out of model training. It is also poor value on the monthly plan, at $163.88 for a first year.
