The other six tools can make anime images, but anime is one style among many for them, or the anime result depends on which model you load. Here is how each one handles anime and illustration, from its published model list:

1. NovelAI: why is it the pick for anime art?

NovelAI Image Generation is the pick because its models, NovelAI Diffusion V5, V4.5, V4 (Full and Curated), Anime V3 and Furry V3, all focus on anime and furry art. No other service here publishes a model line built only for this style.

Anime support. The model list is the strongest fact in its favour. Anime V3 is named for the style, and the newer V4, V4.5 and V5 models keep the same anime and furry focus. The Full models use less curated data than the Curated models, so you can choose between them. Prompts are tag based.

Character and editing tools. Character Reference and Vibe Transfer help keep one character the same across images. Editing covers inpainting, image-to-image, upscale and Director Tools, the fullest editing set of any hosted service in this group.

Privacy and ownership. NovelAI’s FAQ says requests, uploads and generations are not logged or stored, and requests are encrypted. Users keep all rights to their generated content.

Weaknesses. Realism is limited, so it is a poor choice for photo-style images. The terms set no adult-content ban, but they also have no explicit adult policy, and posts to the Explore feed get manual review. 2. Seduced: is it the most hentai-focused service?

Seduced is the only service in this group that names hentai as a style. It has more than 30 image models across realistic, semi-realistic, anime, hentai and 3D styles.

Anime support. Anime and hentai sit beside realism in one adult-focused app. Themes cover hetero, gay, trans and futanari content. Animate video models are included, so you can move from a still image to a short clip in the same service.

Character and editing tools. Saved characters can be reused. Verified models can train a personal model, from the $60 plan. Edit V2 makes prompt-based edits, upscale runs at 2x or 3x, and up to 8 extensions stack for poses and styles. Inpainting is not listed.

Weaknesses. There is no free tier. Seduced takes a license to use content for marketing. Data is kept as long as needed, deletion requests are handled within one month, and training on user output is not stated. Its plans page lists credits but no prices, so the prices below come from third-party sources. The Trustpilot profile was removed for breaching guidelines.

Price. A 2-day trial is $10 for 40 credits. Pro is $30 a month for 300 credits, about $0.10 an image if one image uses one credit. Video needs the $60 Platinum plan.

Who it suits. People who want hentai, realism and video in one paid app.

3. Unstable Diffusion: does the biggest model catalog help?

Unstable Diffusion gives the widest hosted choice of models, more than 120, for a flat $30 a month. Which of its models suit anime best is not published.

Anime support. The catalog includes Flux, Seedream, GPT-Image, SDXL, Pony and Illustrious, plus more than 40,000 LoRA influences. You switch models from the prompt box with no setup. The service does not publish which of these suit anime or illustration best.

Character and editing tools. Reference images, up to 10 on Seedream 5.0 Pro, and stackable character LoRA influences help keep a character the same. Image-to-image and reference-guided edits are available on Seedream 5.0 Pro. Inpaint and upscale are not listed.

Weaknesses. There is no ongoing free tier, only a possible time-limited trial. Output ownership is not stated, and the company may use generated images for marketing. Personal data is kept indefinitely unless you ask for deletion, and all images are visible for moderation review. Renders can be slower at peak demand.

Price. Pro is $30 a month with unlimited generations on everyday models. Premium models use a weekly Heavy pool.

Who it suits. High-volume users who want to try many models in a browser.

4. ComfyUI: can you build your own hentai generator?

ComfyUI lets you run any anime checkpoint or LoRA you download, for free, on your own GPU. How good the anime results are depends on the model you choose, and our tool file does not name a specific anime model.

Anime support. ComfyUI loads open model families including SD 1.5, SDXL, SD3.5, Flux and Qwen Image, plus any local checkpoint or LoRA. That makes it the most open tool here, but you must find and set up the models yourself.

Promptchan is the easiest start: a free plan, anime and illustration styles, and text-based edits. It does not publish which models it uses beyond saying they are based on refined open-source models.

Anime support. Styles cover realistic, anime, fantasy and illustration. You pick a style from presets in a web app with no setup.

Character and editing tools. Tweak changes outfit, background, pose and lighting by text while it keeps a character’s look. An AI character feature is on Pro. Images can be 4K on Pro. Inpainting and upscaling are not listed.

Weaknesses. The Gem cost per image is not published, and neither is the size of the free daily allowance. Age is an 18+ self-declaration with no verification method described. Public mode grants Promptchan a broad license; private mode gives it no rights to your images.

Price. The free plan gives a daily Gem allowance. Plus is $14.99 a month for 100 Gems, Premium $23.99 for 400 Gems and Pro $33.99 for 800 Gems with unlimited casual generations.

6. Civitai Red: what about community anime models?

Civitai Red hosts a very large catalog of community checkpoints and LoRAs, with an on-site generator. Most facts here come from third-party sources, because Civitai’s official pages blocked automated access.

Anime support. Third-party sources say the generator lists Flux and SDXL families. Which community models suit anime is up to you to find; no anime model is named in our sources.

Character and editing tools. Character LoRAs come from the community or can be trained on site with Buzz (third-party). Editing tools are not published.

Weaknesses. Ownership and privacy terms are not published. NSFW generation on Red is paid with Buzz, and payment options there are limited. UK access is blocked (third-party). Trustpilot shows 1.6 from 40 reviews, with complaints about bans, lost Buzz and support.

Price. About 1,000 Buzz per $1, and an SDXL image costs about 4 to 6 Buzz, roughly $0.005 (third-party).

Who it suits. People who want community LoRAs at a low cost and accept terms known mostly from third parties.

7. Candy.ai: does a companion app work for anime?

Candy.ai (images) makes images of a companion you build in a chat app. It has an Anime companion category, but it does not publish its models.

Anime support. The site groups companions as Girls, Anime and Guys. Images show a saved companion built from appearance options, with outfit, background and pose choices.

Weaknesses. There are no inpaint or upscale tools described. Ownership of outputs is not clearly stated, and the user grants EverAI a perpetual license to content. ComfyUI is the only generator here that is free with no limit, because it runs on your own computer. Among hosted services, NovelAI has a 30-image trial and Promptchan has a free daily allowance.

For heavy anime use, NovelAI Opus at $25 a month is the cheapest flat rate in this group, as long as you work on models other than V5.

What content do they ban?

Every service in this group that publishes a minors rule bans sexual content with minors. None of these published rules makes an exception for fictional or drawn characters, so a “loli”-style character drawn to look underage falls under the ban, whatever age a prompt gives it. We list each service’s published rule below, and we give no advice on how to get past any ban.

• Unstable Diffusion bans CSAM including fictional CSAM, sexual deepfakes of real people and bestiality. This is the clearest written ban on fictional minors in the group.
• Promptchan bans CSAM, minors-themed content, deepfakes, bestiality and graphic gore.
• Seduced bans minors, deepfakes of real people without consent, extreme violence and hate.
• Candy.ai bans minors, images that resemble real persons, bestiality and non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Civitai Red bans real-person likeness models and photoreal minors, according to third-party sources. Its official pages blocked automated access, so the full rule text was not checked. Treat any sexual image of a minor, drawn or photoreal, as banned.
• ComfyUI Cloud terms ban CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery and impersonation. Local use has no service rules, but the law where you live still applies.
• NovelAI terms set no adult-content ban, and Explore posts get manual review. A specific minors rule is not recorded in our last check of its terms. Sexual content with minors, drawn or not, is not something any reader should make on any tool.
