We compared Nureta and Promptchan’s video mode on the same ten video dimensions we use for the whole desk. Every fact comes from each tool’s own home, pricing, FAQ, refund, terms and privacy pages. User reports from review sites are marked as third-party. This page compares published facts, last checked on 25 October 2026.

Length, consistency and real cost per clip weigh most, because together they decide whether you get a usable video and what it costs. Privacy and payment terms come next. The two tools start from different places. Nureta is a video app first. It turns a written story, or one or two photos of consenting adults, into a video of about three minutes with sound. Promptchan is an adult image and chat service, and video is one tab inside it, unlocked only on the top Pro plan.

What do the two tools have in common?

Both are web tools for explicit adult video with sound, and both take crypto. Both ban minors and real people without consent, and neither uses an ID check that it publishes.

Both also give you a way to carry a character from one clip to the next. Nureta does this with your reference photos across a whole story. Promptchan does it with a saved character that you add to a shot.

The real differences are in how much you know before you pay, how long the video can run, and how you pay. The sections below go through each dimension.

How do Nureta and Promptchan compare, dimension by dimension?

Nureta leads on input, length, published quality, consistency across a story, cost and age checks. Promptchan leads on payment and user reports. Content rules and privacy are even.

Input modes

Nureta is built around a story. Promptchan is built around a prompt or an existing image.

With Nureta, you write a text story or script, or start from a story starter, and Nureta generates the whole video from it with no photos needed. For image-to-video, you add one or two reference photos of consenting adults.

With Promptchan, you write a text prompt in the Video tab, or you press Animate on an image you made or found in the Explore feed. You can also Clone a clip and Extend an existing clip. Promptchan does not publish an option to animate your own uploaded photo.

If you want to plan a video as a sequence of scenes, only Nureta takes a full story as input.

Video length

Nureta publishes its length. Promptchan does not.

Nureta renders 5-second clips. Short videos are a single clip, and longer ones are stitched from several scenes into one video of about three minutes.

Promptchan’s clip length is not stated. Its Pro plan unlocks “full-length” videos and an Extend tool, but the pages we read give no number in seconds. You cannot plan a video of a set length before you pay $33.99.

Resolution and audio

Both tools have sound. Only Nureta publishes a resolution.

Nureta’s app renders at 480p. Its Developer API offers 480p, 720p and 1080p, and it lets you set the first and last frame of each shot. Audio is on by default, with ambient sound and voices.

Promptchan has a standard and a top quality setting, and optional AI-generated sound. It does not publish the resolution of either setting.

Nureta’s 480p in the app is low, and we state it plainly. But it is a known number, and there is a published path to 1080p through the API. Promptchan’s output size is unknown.

Character consistency

Both tools keep a character across clips, with different methods.

Nureta keeps the same faces from your reference photos in every scene of a video up to about three minutes. Story videos also keep the same characters across scenes.

Promptchan lets you add a saved character to a shot, and its Pro plan includes an AI Character feature. Its Extend tool can keep the same pose when a clip continues. Promptchan does not publish how well a face holds across separate clips.

For a whole story with the same people in every scene, Nureta’s method is the more direct one.

Content rules

Both allow explicit adult content and publish clear bans.

Nureta bans minors, also as fictional characters, non-consent, real people without consent and public figures. Promptchan bans minors, deepfakes, real people without consent, incest, bestiality and scat.

The lists differ in detail but not in strictness. Nureta names fictional minors and non-consent in writing. Promptchan names more specific themes.

Cost per 5-second clip

Nureta publishes its price per clip. Promptchan does not.

Nureta’s first 5-second clip is free with a Google sign-in and no card. It is 480p, with sound and a small watermark. After that, a clip costs $1.29 pay-as-you-go. Bundles start at $3.79 for 30 credits, and 10 credits make one clip. The largest bundle is $39.99 for 440 credits, about $0.91 per clip.

Promptchan’s cost per clip is not stated. A clip costs a handful of Gems, and the app shows the number on the button before you generate. Video also needs the Pro plan at $33.99 a month, which includes 800 Gems. The free plan and the $14.99 and $23.99 plans do not include video.

Here is a worked example. A 3-minute Nureta video costs $46.44 at the pay-as-you-go price, or about $32.72 at the largest bundle’s rate, according to Nureta’s FAQ. On Promptchan, the first month of Pro alone costs $33.99, before you know how many clips its Gems buy.

Payment and refunds

Promptchan gives more ways to pay and a refund window. Nureta has one payment method, and purchases are final except failed jobs, which are refunded automatically.

Promptchan takes cards, crypto and G2A. Card plans recur. You can ask for a refund within 30 days of a charge if you have not used significant AI services in that period, and you must cancel first. Crypto payments are final.

Nureta takes only USDC on the Base network, with no card and no subscription. All purchases are final, although failed jobs are refunded automatically. Because nothing renews, there is no plan to cancel. But if you do not hold crypto, Promptchan is far easier to pay for.

Privacy and retention

Each tool has a stronger point, so this one is even.

Nureta deletes face photos within 24 hours and does not use them for training. It deletes generated videos after 30 days, so you must download what you want to keep. Videos are private by default.

Promptchan keeps clips for 24 hours unless you publish them, which is a shorter window than Nureta’s 30 days. Content in private mode is not used for public or commercial purposes. Promptchan does not state whether prompts or uploads train its models.

Nureta publishes a no-training rule for your photos. Promptchan keeps unpublished output for less time. Choose by which point matters more to you.

Age verification

Neither tool uses a published ID check.

Nureta asks you to confirm you are 18 or older before you generate. It enforces this on the server and stores the confirmation in a cookie for 30 days. Promptchan’s terms require users to be 18 or older, and users state their own age. No verification method is published.

User reports

Promptchan has the larger public record.

Promptchan’s Trustpilot page shows an average of 4.3 out of 5 from 195 reviews, with recent complaints about bugs and support (third-party). Promptchan’s home page reports more than 11 million users (a first-party figure). Nureta reports more than 50,000 users (a first-party figure).

Nureta wins on six dimensions, and Promptchan wins on two. Content rules and privacy are even.

Where Promptchan wins

• Payment. Card, crypto or G2A, with a 30-day refund window for card plans with little use.
• User reports. 195 Trustpilot reviews with an average of 4.3 out of 5 (third-party).
• Also worth noting. Video sits inside a full image and chat app, with web and mobile apps. If you already pay for Pro for images, video comes with it. This is not a dimension win.

Where Nureta wins

• Story input. You write a story, and Nureta turns it into a joined video with sound.
• Length. About three minutes, against a length Promptchan does not state.
• Known output. 480p in the app, and up to 1080p with first and last frame control on the Developer API.
• Consistency. The same faces from your photos in every scene of the story.
• Cost. A free first clip, then $1.29 per clip with no subscription, against $33.99 a month plus an unpublished Gem cost.

Which one should you choose?

For most readers, choose Nureta. It is the only one of the two that turns a whole written story into a video of about three minutes, with sound and the same characters in every scene. You know the price before you start: a free first clip, then $1.29 per 5-second clip, with no subscription.

Know its limits before you buy. The app renders at 480p, and higher resolution is on the Developer API. You can pay only with USDC on Base. Purchases are final, except failed jobs. Videos are deleted after 30 days, so download them. Start with the free clip and check the output first.

Choose Promptchan if you already pay for its Pro plan for images and chat, and you want short clips of characters you made there. Choose it too if you must pay by card, or if a refund window matters to you. Accept that it does not publish clip length, resolution or Gem cost per clip, so you will learn those only after you pay $33.99.
